Influenced by the three funk keyboard masters George Duke (R.I.P.), Bernie Worrell, and Herbie Hancock this music is made to stir up memories and possibly create new ones. Let us turn to the familiar direction of jazz-funk with a vengeance.
NOTES
I want the music to make you move with memorable sounds and rhythms that will make you remember when jazz was at the all-time high in the funk collections of our time. Music to have fun by. Happy sounds from the previous Smooth Skool collection with some newly added tracks in that same tradition of sitting in the park on a summer day with friends listening and laughing with everyone. Also to enjoy while relaxing and studying both as I did many years before. I have listened to countless jams from Motown to the Mothership and many songs from all the great artists too numerous to mention touched our hearts and inspired our minds in special ways that we strive to recreate those feelings in our lives today. I was influenced by the three funk keyboard masters: George Duke (R.I.P.), Bernie Worrell , and Herbie Hancock and I would say I learned different techniques from listening and watching each one. I admired many keyboard artists from the funk era in various ways. And I would like to continue making this type of music into the future with a goal of having each new project be funkier than the last. I hope that listeners can grasp this concept and jam with me as I thrive to accomplish this mission. Dedicated to all who enjoy the world that is music.
